Visual Impairment North East (VINE)

VINE produces a directory of educational, medical, social and other services available to the visually impaired in the region covering Cumbria,Hartlepool BC, Middlesbrough BC, Redcar & Cleveland BC, Stockton on Tees BC and Tees Valley Durham County, Darlington BC, Gateshead MBC, City of Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland County, North Tyneside Council, Borough of South Tyneside and City of Sunderland.

A simulation training package is also available to buy and consists of several sets of spectacles, which when worn, can give some idea of what a visually impaired person may see. They help to identify some of the problems experienced by the visually impaired.
